Roland take-up system

Has anyone purchased a Roland take-up system directly from one of the manufacturers in China?

Here is a link to a company that sells one for $180-$220, they say they will ship within 7 working days of receiving payment and will accept PayPal. I was thinking of making the purchase, but not sure about paying a company in China and waiting to see if I get the take-up system?

Any thoughts? They also sell pumps and other items for Roland and other printers.

Thanks,

Jon

Yeah they are junk if you get one at all. Alibaba is full of scams....alot of photos are stolen from ebay and other sites then posted up on there like the supplier really has it for sale....even when it says gold supplier it doesn't mean anything.

Seriously. $200? Come on. Take Up Systems under $1000 I would be suspicious.

The Take Up System from Roland is $1995.00 but if your running a huge overnight job frequently, chances are you'll have it paid off in a fairly decent amount of time.

Make your own quite easily for $20.

It really works well and uses no power. I have printed only 8 foot banners so far but works like a charm. It should handle a 30 foot with the 2 foot drop setup I have now. Only change I might add is using a heavier weight than 10 lbs if needed for longer runs.

Hardest thing to find will be the 7" or 8" or bigger, diameter tube to roll on. Bigger the better. I used a tube that came to protect a roll of banner material.

Not sure how to link the propper way but this was it.
