Roland VG-540 nozzle missing

Jim Hancock

Old School Technician
Make sure your cap is clean and there is no ink buildup on the bottom of the head and also around the edges of the head. Look for any marks or damage to the bottom of the head. Do a nozzle test print, then a medium cleaning and another nozzle test print. Please post a pic of both nozzle tests. If the missing nozzles are moving around, you probably need a new cap. If not, then a head soak may be in order. It involves closing off the drain line from the pump to the waste tank, move the print head to the left, fill the cap brimming full, then lock the head in place. When you are ready to see if it has helped, open the drain line, do a strong clean and a nozzle test print. Please let us know the results...
