Running my Roland Machines with a diesel Generator

Hi there guys. Hope you can help. Is there anyone out there that know if you can run the Roland printers on a Generator. We are currently experiencing electrical load shedding in South Africa .

I'd use a UPS along with it and you'll be fine...

Your equipment needs clean sine wave power. I know my diesel generator is all over the map in regards to clean output. Wouldn't trust it plugged in directly.

Now if your generator is an inverter style you should be good to go. Those will output a clean sine wave.

We had a big storm that knocked power out for almost a week, and i ran my roland and other equipment on generators with no issues. It was a standard gas generator though.

I'd use a UPS along with it and you'll be fine...

+1 if you don't use one you will get odd print issues and board/head failures. The power isn't always clean or consistent from a generator.
