Just want to share a tip on how to fix an broken sand-blasted foil.

As the pictures show, you only need an ligther and heat gently on the area you need to fix.

And as you can see on the image, the broken foil is now fixed:)

I would be very cautious about using any type of heat source to repair scratched vinyl on glass.
It's cheaper to replace a piece of glass etch than a piece of shattered glass.

It could.... lots of stories on here about glass shattering.

Hmm..maybe, but its very little heat needed to fix this, so in that case if it does shatter its a very tender glass i think... I`ve used this technique for 7 years now and never had any trouble.
Maybe a glass that brake after so low surface heat should be replaced anyway? :)
