sc-540 crop marks

so i got an old sc-540 printer and it did not come with any software at all, so I got it working with flexi 10, I can print and cut at the same time, but when I want to print, laminate then cut the printer doesn't look for the crop marks at all it goes straight to cutting and of course it cuts all over the place but not where i need to cut, my question. is there a setting on the machine that I need to change to make it look for the crop marks or do I need to get a copy color rip to make it work properly.?

With an SC540, you need to start the marker reading with the butten AUTO ALIGN on the keyboard. Press the butten, move the knife holder over the first marker and press enter.
