Some times old school seems easier to me

Yeah we all got the CNC and all the other latest goodies
but sometimes it makes more sense to me to do the old way.

We had these dove icons to do and they could have been modeled on the computer and thrown on the the robot.

I started modeling them in Rhino and after an hour of not liking what I was getting
I said eff it give me a pounce pattern, band saw and die grinder.

First one took an hour.Second one took 15 minutes.

Don't think it could have done it any quicker on the machine.
Plus getting away from the computer and making dust on the shop floor was a bonus.

Here is the project in the rough

Besides that, it is eminently more satisfying than watching a machine chug away.
I think the sharpness of the corners and the details would be better, anyway, done by hand.
Looking great.

Some things are more practical when done by hand, & that is a great example.

Besides it's excellent satisfaction working with hands & mind, it will keep ya grounded when it comes to sales with that can do attitude.

I like it. and agree about sometimes the computer just chokes the process, like trying to create a cut path around an image, sometimes an xacto is all you need
