Rant Tall Tales of Real Sign Painters

aMikey

Have sable will Paint,
when I was about 8 years old, I lived next to a real sign painter, he also did uphostery and house painting, and taught us kids brush handling. His best work was murals on the side of trucks.

When I was in my 20's I went to George Brown College, I took Fred De Jong's sign painting and graphic arts course along with my mechanical drafting and Radio & TV Repair courses. It was the begining of a new world in 3D space.

I never got hired in any sign shop, and had to sink or swim on my own, I never looked back

my retirement dream was to go to the artiic and and teach the locals brush work and hand lettering.

the only machine in my shop is the table saw
