text flyout not flying

HI all: I'm still learning how to use my Flexi Sign-but have run into a snag....my Text Flyout is grounded---is this because I need to upgrade? very frustrating. I'd like to arc some text on a boat transom and wanted to match the curve of the stern....
I can do this in Corel, I suppose. Just wondering if this is not an option in Sign....I'm not cheap, just don't do rip and print.
