Discussion The grind of grinding...

As standard practice, when manufacturing a reverse channel letter we grind the welds a well as the rest of the letter face. Then da, twice. Then clean well the letter to remove the wax.
It is hours of labor per each sign we manufacture.

I am wishing for a system like a time saver, or a simple drum sander to do that work. Anyone has tested this approach?

I've never built a channel letter, but I've done a ton of TIG welding. Properly done, I don't believe you'd have to do any grinding on TIG welds. Just hit the letter with the DA and be done.
