UV ink for Boat Decals

Since UV ink (from my vuteK) is really tough and thick, do you think it would stand up on a boat as a decal without laminate. Not a full boat wrap where it's gonna get hit alot, but up on the side where it's just gonna get beat with water and waves.

It'll handle it without it, but it never hurts to go a little... overboard.
