Question UV Roll To Roll Printer

Looking to add a UV-LED roll to roll printer to my shop. My only question is about laminating UV inks. I sell a lot of smaller decals (1"-8") and from what I have heard UV inks would require heat assisted lamination. Is that accurate or will cold roll lamination work too?

Which printer are you considering?
You might see more silvering without any heat and might even need special UV laminate with more glue.

I run a 1640 Colorado and we cold laminate the prints. Standard lam is fine but you do get some haloing around small text elements but it's still perfectly readable, a heat-assisted laminator is supposed to fix this issue.

Most decals from our Colorado don't need laminate.
There's a couple of UV specific laminates if you think you really need to.

I’ve played with cold lam on uv inks.
There’s special
Uv lam that’s cheaper.
Or thin cast but that gets expensive
