Vinyl on Powder coated steel

Is there a period of time that needs to be waited to apply vinyl to a sheet of powder coated steel? I have a customer that had a sheet of steel powder coated, and asked me to apply vinyl to it. I just want to make sure if it needs to breathe before I apply vinyl to it. This will be an outdoor sign.

Thanks

I don't see an issue. Powder coat is a baked on at roughly 400 degrees F. Once out of the oven and cooled it becomes a hard shell.

you will see quickly if they did a bad job of prep when applying to powder-coated objects. If the bond is low your vinyl will take the paint right off.
