vj 1204 no display

My vj1204 is coming on but nothing is showing on the display. What can i do to solve this?

Does the panel still work? Does it do anything? When this happened to me (I unplugged the control panel without unplugging I first) I could turn the printer on, and the power LED would work but it wouldn't turn off and I couldn't do anything else from the control panel. Ended up being a blown fuse

The lights coming on and it will move the head but no display on the screen. Where is the fuse located and how will you know it is blown?

The fuse is located on the main board, it is a small round redish orange color. I had no way of testing it so I just replaced it and it fixed my problem. I was unable to find the fuse anywhere online so I had to contact mutoh directly. I might actually have a spare I could send you since I am getting ready to sell my 1204. I will dig through my cabinets and see if I can find one

Thanks for showing me, I found it and i tap the top of it and turn on the machine and the display is showing
So it seem the fuse mite be going bad. When i get the fuse how can i get it replace? Would i have to send the board to mutoh?

I replaced mine my self, It just pulls out and the new one pushes in.

Printer display not coming on again. I change the board and the power light and the data light on but nothing on the display. Any help?

Unplug the machine and hit the power button to discharge. Then take the back platen off to expose the main board. Take the memory board out and air dust the terminal. Also dust off the memory itself. Reinstall and see what happens. This fixes this issue most of the time for me.

Hi i did that and nothing. I have a new main board here and i put it in and it still not coming on. Could i be there memory as i get a memory last year but not sure if it was new it it was from a tech. I was told it could be the cable going to the control board or the control board or the main board

Did you upload the firmware and parameters when you installed the main board. If not, that is your issue. No firmware means the printer doesn't know what to do after turning on.

The old board was sent to mutoh to get check and the new board, the guy said he will put on the firmware and also the parameter files so it should have it on.

No it was sent after he loading the parameter on and the error was still coming on. After it get to mutoh it was the memory that was bad. But now in this case the printer isn't coming on the display.
