VS-640 capping station full of ink

This appears to be a common problem on these machines...my dealer has already replaced the spring with a different length spring, and replaced it with new capping station... anyone else run into this with their machine? what repairs did you have made?

The new captop/spring was introduced to fix some issues with the captop not sealing on the head correctly.

If you have ink puddling in the captop, something else is going on. Most likely it's a clogged pump/tube.

Constipation

With a rag in hand, pull the tube that goes from the cap top to the pump off at or near the pump connection. you may have dried ink in the tube, those pumps are usually maintenance free. If that is not the problem check the tube from the pump to the waste bottle. You are plugged up somewhere
