If it helps my dyslexic son in any way - I'm on board! However, dyslexics have far more issues it seems than a font adjustment could help - but any small help HELPS!

This scares me though.... He says that Dyslexie is also being used “within companies such as Shell............"

Don't be scared. 20% of the population has some form of dyslexia.

I know I get a bit dyslexic some times. This is good, but how do you implement this? Rather than isolating a group and making everyone else have to read the font? I think this would be a good idea in a augmentented reality or prefrences type of situation where the dyslexic can "opt-in" dyslexic font and everything gets translated to it on their screens. Thoughts?
