I have an issue going on with Old Faithful.
My L25500 seems to have started what seems to be banding. Very Wide, inconsistent Banding.
I have replaced my printheads, I've tried different profiles, different media.....
It seems to be mostly when printing green.
I see it some in the lighter blues, but no where as bad as green.

    Test prints look great.
    What might the problem be?

Your image didn't quite come trough.
I still suspect a printhead issue. You have a bad one in there that is acting up while printing.
If there is any that look suspicious, warranty replace them.

Still have the issue if you go into a higher pass count or interlace? Our 850s were notorious for banding greens and blues like that.

That really looks like an image issue to me. Like the gradient is messed up or wasn't interpreted/converted correctly. Possibly spot color/transparency issue?
Rasterize that image and print it again and see what happens.

    Banding? Where?
    Printing looks Perfect!

If your complaint is the Green, your problem is with the Art, and not the printer.

Save the printheads that you have changed out
They are probably still good or can be cleaned/recovered.

I have tried higher pass, lower pass, higher, and lower resolution, all the same results.

I thought that too was the problem, so I rotated the image 90 degrees, it still does it horizontally.
If it were the image, it should have been vertically when I rotated.....Right?

I still believe its the image, might be colors out of limits/gamut going wonky.
Try rasterizing it and see what you get.

I just rasterized, and printed and got the same results.

Does it come out 100% like before with the issue at the same spot?
For some reason the images don't work for me..........

Edit. I saw the picture now. Yeap, still with my first guess. Printhead problems.

It seems as though the color change in the green lines up exactly in line with the white.

i have an L310, and i recently encountered a strange banding that looks similar to yours'. if you zoom in, you will see that the left image is affecting the middle image, and the middle image is affecting the rightmost image. all images have the same solid colored background. [raster]

I can clearly see it, and it does look quite similar, just different colors are affected.

Have you figured out what the issue is?

Could there be a problem in your signal getting through properly ?? Is it that exact green regardless of the file ?? What happens if you go lighter or darker with the same color ?? How about changing the size of the print ??

Gino, it is with any green.... It actually seems to be in any color that has lots of Cyan. The lighter the color the worse it is. The darker the color the less noticeable, but its's still there.

What I have noticed this morning is that it seems to be straight in line with all of the white.

Both of you could try adding Color Bars to the side of your print. And make them wide enough to warm up the heads (20mm or so).
It can usually be done straight from the RIP.
