Workmans Comp

Hi folks,
So I am a small sign shop, hiring my first employee. Im receiving quotes for workmans comp and the general census seems to be about 1200 a year, for a production employee: Printing, laminating, weeding, cutting down substrates, etc.

Does this price sound right? or should I keep looking?

WC depends on pay, so i have no idea if $1200 a year is good.

I think some states have regulated rates so every carrier will be the same. Best bet is to use an agent and let them do all of this for you and advise you through the process.
