So we have hit a slowdown around here and I'm trying to get caught up on some things, including re-wrapping my truck (shop truck, but also my daily drive). The original wrap was the millenium falcon, and it was either instantly recognized, or not at all. You can only yell "millenium falcon" so many times before it gets old.

In any case I was hoping I could get some ideas from this crowd. I'm open to everything except a picture of my wife (if you haven't seen the video). Also the guy on the crapper and the kidnap victim are too played out.

*Also, if anybody recommends a freelance wrap designer, I'm looking for one.

id start off by actually wrapping the entire car, and not leaving the bottom/bumpers white.. yuck.

Please sir, this is in the process of being stripped. We honestly thought it'd take a lot longer, so we decided to pull the area below the channel first because it was starting to lift where the trough is, where I had not gotten enough adhesion in the trough and cut a relief seam in the vinyl. It's nearly white by now. I even have a lexan bar that fits in the bid and lights up, it's just impractical as hell.

I do like what you had done. It makes me smile. We use a freelance wrap designer. She has been doing this for a long time. Over 20 yrs I would guess. That is her forte. How can I send her your info or vise versa. I hope someone thinks of something awesome for your truck.

See if you can wrap it to look like one of these:

My 92 Toyota Hilux looks really close and it is not even wrapped.

PM me her contact if you don't mind.

I love the idea of rust or junk type look, but at the same time if it looks too authentic, what's the point? Like if I had a corvette or something juiced up, it would be awesome to make it look like a heap of sh!t, then blow people away at stop lights.

After having the truck unwrapped for 12hrs, I'm getting anxious. It's weird. While it was wrapped, you'd get looks from tons of folks driving by, and it was obvious why. In fact it made my old man got paranoid once while driving it, he was thinking he must have a flat tire or something because of all the people staring. Now I feel like people are staring, and I don't know why!

Actually, this is a 20' box truck, but wrapped to look like an old Studebaker. Quite clever how they did that.
