  1. Suggestions Epson S80670 or S40600 or something else?

The additional inks are NOT warranted whatsoever by Epson. They will fade much quicker than the standard CMYK inks will, resulting in much shorter lifespans for graphics.
  2. Suggestions Epson S80670 or S40600 or something else?

Print heads are the same, you can adjust the quality by changing the pass count on the prints. Quality is outstanding. You can dial in every media profiles on the printer itself for great results no matter what you're printing on. S80 uses inks that are not guaranteed to last outdoors. You...
  3. Suggestions Epson S80670 or S40600 or something else?

I believe around $.35/sf depending on coverage & what inks you use. (We use 3M MCS inks here, so they cost more)
  4. Help choosing a second printer

You need an S60600, super fast printing, CAN laminate within an hour, but really you should wait until the next day if possible; definitely wait for vehicle graphics. We have 4 currently and just plain work them all day every day. No major issues in years, but every now and then you might have a...
  5. Suggestions Epson S80670 or S40600 or something else?

I agree 100% with WhiteHaus above, go with S60600. We have 4 currently.
  6. Flexi Printing on Epson, Cutting on Mimaki

I have a friend who recently purchased a printer & plotter, then decided to go with Flexi as their RIP software since it supposedly supports the (used) Mimaki plotter model he purchased. I am not that familiar with Flexi (I use Onyx & Graphtecs here), but he can print with Mimaki registration...
  7. Printing Decals with certain opacity

You just print on it, same as you would a white vinyl. The standard "white point" of the vinyl is now the base color of the vinyl you are printing on. You are only applying CMYK inks, so anywhere you are not putting ink, is showing the vinyl. A lot of films like these are probably not...
  8. Getting a better quality image from a low quality image

Here is another image that Gigapixel took from completely unprintable to printable. I've used it for a few years now, and every now and then it still amazes me.
  9. Wrap pay kiosk with embossed aluminum finish

Looks like decent vinyl, but there are a LOT of flavors of 3M vinyl that it might be... The laminate looks like (scratchproof) polycarb laminate, so in theory the vinyl combo shouldn't stretch. I would tell the customer you will do one as a test to see how it goes at an hourly rate and you can...

  11. Epson Surecolor S40600 Spatters

Well, you either need a new CR duct kit, OR a new head. Get service out ASAP to start with the CR duct (since you're only seeing 1 color leaking) and if that doesn't fix it you'll need a new head. Had this same problem (not as bad though), and ours was magenta also, around a month ago. New CR...
  12. Humorous Decal I Designed

Re-Upload it as a RGB JPEG file. (please?)
  13. REAL GOLD brand vinyl transfer tape

We use R-tape Clear Choice Mask when we need clear, it is pretty aggressive. I would recommend finding a printing partner that can print onto the printable version with a Gerber Edge so that you are not layering these graphics; that's how we do it here.
  14. Question Help Identify this 3M Material

That adhesive pattern is not very even at all, I'm not sure that is legit 3M vinyl with it looking all swirly like that. If it is thicker and has the large cross hatches I'd say IJ160c also, but I haven't had a roll here in about 4 years.
