  1. Fletcher panel cutter issue

If you're referring to the rotary cutter, don't lock it into place. When it's locked, the center point between the blades doesn't line up with the center of the sheet stock, especially with thicker materials (thus, putting too much pressure on one side). Instead, just leave the set screw "out"...
  2. Question Anyone Figured Out How to Wet Cap an EcoSolvent Print head?

OEM for sure. There are tons of knock offs out there -- and they often "appear" the same, but the materials are not identical. I tried multiple times from different vendors over the years, and every time I had to go back to OEM because they just wouldn't seal properly.
  3. Anyone have a fotoba digitrim 64 they would like to sell?

The Digitrim 64 is only an X cutter. For X-Y trimming you need the XLD series or higher. (I have both machines) Fotoba has released other newer models with more features, but the XLD is the most affordable option. Plan on spending upwards of $25-30k if you get lucky finding a decent used...
  4. Grommet size for ACM

Just print some stickers of grommets on metallic vinyl. Apply to your substrate, then drill a 3/8" hole through the middle. Nobody will ever notice. :D LMAO! j/k. you can get the long barrel ones and pre-drill first, as Boudica mentioned.
  5. Need Help Red Color Shifting to Orange in Prints - Taimes T1802 Troubleshooting

Sounds a lot like a hardware or consumable problem to me. A nozzle check only tells you what's happening in a very small controlled test -- not actual production. Your magenta is probably dropping out -- I'd guess air in your lines (or heck, even a bad batch of ink). Are you using OEM inks...
  6. Removing Decals...anyone use these Brothers chemicals?

heat + industrial citrus cleaner. I've got rapid remover too, but the citrus works as good or better (92% concentrate - crazy strong), and is only about 1/3 of the cost of Rapid Remover.
  7. Epson Sure Color 80600 for sale!

new heads does not equal a new printer. how much run time are we looking at?
  8. Stuck on this

Why is this post under "Classifieds"? What is this... the window of a panel van? In any case... you're asking too much of this vinyl. Wrap films aren't designed to be stretched that much, regardless of how much you heat it up (even if you use primer). It's going to lift back up in no time...
  9. ACM Sign Warping

I agree with the comments above. This thing is scary and needs to be taken down before someone gets hurt (or at the very least, falls down and gets destroyed). Yes, it does need a frame, supports, solid anchoring etc... but if those things were already skipped the first time around, I'd be...
  10. Question Flexi v19 + Windows 11?

Flexi 12 on Win 11 here... no problems at all.
  11. Cloud Storage?

Not just "if" but "when" drives fail. Remember that all drives will fail at some point -- 100% guaranteed to die -- whether it's a few years, 5 years, etc. So if you decide to go with the local backup option, make sure your server is configured as RAID 1 (drive replication). Avoid the...
  12. NY Experience with Summa S class 2??

I have the take up option on the 160 (6 or 7 years old maybe?), but the opportunity to use it doesn't come up as often as I expected because I'm typically running 1 job at a time. You either need a healthy front leader to tape up to the reel (probably 2 to 3 feet worth, because it has to reach...
  13. Small Cutter Recommendations

    Nothing beats a Summa.
  14. What grommet press does everyone use now?

I've used a tabletop Hiker for the past 15 years. Zero problems. For larger jobs I prefer to use this beast: https://www.edwardsegalinc.com/index.cfm?level=3&pg=3&pid=10
  15. Weeding reflective

weeding reflective sucks. I've had better success with reverse weeding though. (mask the whole thing, then weed away from the masking)
