Check the fuses on the main board. It is easy to blow them when changing a head, and if you do then the heads won't print.

The printers were never designed for use with holographic or mirror or reflective vinyl ( for most machines this wasn't even available at the time they came out! ). They use optical sensors, so if they get flooded with too much reflection from the material, they can't read where the head is...

The problem is they own the domain name. If their current web host bans them, they just move to another one, so there is pretty much no point reporting them :(

Printing small things every day costs next to nothing. It is certainly a lot cheaper than having to replace heads!

How long are you talking about it being idle? Solvent heads dont like having ink sitting in them, so if you sealed the head you are likely to do more damage. The best way to keep them working is to have fresh ink flowing through them regularly, so letting the printer do its automatic cleanings...

Message the seller and let them know you want to buy, but only if they can combine the shipping. Oddly the seller in the UK who sells them on ebay won't combine shipping either. You have to pay £10 per cartridge, then they send them all in one box that costs £10 to ship!

How did you clean the head manually in the first place? From the nozzle tests it looks like you have damaged it. First step would be to change the captops and see if that improves the test prints

The inks have nothing to do with it :) The printer doesn't know it is running 3rd party inks so won't behave any differently

How much did you pay? Digiprint sell full price heads and also what they claim are 'seconds;

I don't give any customers credit. They pay when the order is placed , or they don't get the job done. If I was dealing with a huge company spending thousands a month regularly I may change this, but I don't have the time or effort to be constantly chasing accounts departments to get paid.

Parts are readily available for these. All the normal service parts are easy to get. There are sellers on Ebay who sell most of the other parts like boards, motors etc.. all the common things that fail.

I imagine after 3 years they have fixed it....

As it has been over a month since you first had the problem, there isn't much chance of rescuing the head now, so it will need replacing. They are around $2000. You can fit them yourself if you have experience, but are better off getting a tech to do it, so probably around $3000 - $3500 for the...

I do agree that companies should have the right to protect their designs etc.. but it is a stupid situation when for restoring older vehicles they won't give permission for someone to recreate the logo, but can't actually supply it themselves. It could also be a grey area as vehicle companies...

Do it properly and get the stripes painted on ! you can always use vinyl for the circles. The car is gorgeous, so don't ruin it by having something less than perfect for the stripes.

I dont think that is a font as the letters dont match each other. More likely it was just designed as a logo, so there are no other letters. What name does he want as you could probably hand draw it and then scan it in and vectorise it
