It can be done automatically on import or paste or whatever you send from Flexi by going into:
Setup/Preferences/General + Merge Contours and + Auto cleanup tabs and ticking the boxes on Import and Paste

EnRoute lists a driver for Camaster so how it would go is:
Design in Flexi click "Send to EnRoute" apply toolpaths and send to Camaster.
Or... you can design in EnRoute and send from there.
I would think that too, but no, it doesn't work like that.
Doesn't matter if the design is 1'x1' or 8'x4', it will still be at the resolution (7x, 20x, 50x) that you nominated at the start of the job.
The thing to watch out for is that file sizes can become monstrous.
