Interesting. Even so, if Printfactory provides a means of using named color profiles to define swatches, you should be able to benefit from the information. Sadly, I cannot find any publically accessible technical documentation on Printfactory to see if this is the case.

I was wondering if anyone knows if the permanence of the extended gamut inks(RGO) of the XP-640 is better than the orange of the RF-640 with orange that faded to 6 DE2000 difference after three months(to the best of my knowledge).

Measure the color with a spectrophotometer like an i1pro, get the L*a*b* number, create a named spot color using your RIP's facility for named colors, and use that spot color reference in your design software.

Would anyone have some information about the permanence of the extended gamut inks in the newly announced S9170? This new printer has Red, Orange, and Green inks. Given recent solvent equipment that has exceedingly poor Orange ink permanence, I think it is important to know.
