  1. Cost of HF router?

You'd think so but they won't budge on the price. Even though it's literally the last HF router in the world for our specific flatbed. They'd rather let it sit in their inventory Can't justify spending that much money on a single tool, we're just gonna get a dedicated 4x8 cnc machine instead...
  2. Cost of HF router?

Summa doesn't make the standard router anymore for our specific model
  3. Cost of HF router?

I'd normally agree, but we just don't have the volume to justify a standalone CNC machine, maybe 30-40 sheets per week. Plus they're pretty "light" materials like wood, acrylic, ACM, rigid foam, etc so a real CNC machine might be overkill Yep I can't think of any other reason besides needing...
  4. Cost of HF router?

That's what I was thinking as well. We were already going to fabricate a new gantry that pivots 90 degrees parallel with the table. Since the vertical routing gantry would be in the way when we're loading/unloading 4x8 boards. Unless there are different electrical requirements for each table...
  5. Cost of HF router?

Woops, didn't notice it was just the spindle.
  6. Cost of HF router?

Thank you Phil, I just saw your email. I appreciate the follow up. Just out of curiosity, would it be possible to "jerry-rig" a standard router gantry from a different F series to the 1330? We'd be able to lengthen the wiring+vacuum hose and fabricate a new gantry if needed.
  7. Cost of HF router?

I'd be happy to take one off your hands, but I've been told that the routers are not interchangeable. As in you can't use a router for a F1612 on a F1330 and vice versa. Different gantry setups or something? What model are they for?
  8. Cost of HF router?

Awesome, thanks for the answer, I'll opt for the standard router if I can find one. We would only need to route 2-3 sheets of ACM per day so it seems like a waste of money and space to get a dedicated CNC machine just for that.
  9. Cost of HF router?

Do you have experience cutting ACM with the regular router? The strongest material we'll be cutting will be 3 mm ACM, and the occasional sheet of plywood. And nothing fancy, just square (sometimes rounded edges) cutouts of specific sizes.
  10. Cost of HF router?

Thanks for the answer! It does seem like an insane price point, I could get an actual 4x8 CNC machine for 20-25k. If you don't mind me asking, how much was the standard router? Are the edges relatively smooth when you cut ACM?
  11. Cost of HF router?

Hello, we have a Summa Flatbed and are looking to purchase a HF router. We received one quote for $23k and it seems extremely high. We have a discontinued model (F1330) so we've only been able to get a single quote. I was hoping to get some advice from those who have purchased either a...
  12. Declining jobs based on moral/ethical grounds

What's your take on assisted suicide then? If it's my body, my choice, then a person should have the legal right to end their own life. Why is physician assisted suicide illegal but abortion is ok? using that logic
  13. Tape that sticks to UV ink?

Thanks Grizzly, I appreciate you testing it out on your stock! Just emailed them about ordering a sample roll to test, hopefully that does the trick.
  14. Tape that sticks to UV ink?

Yessir that's what we do for the glue tabs for shipping boxes, but we also make RETT/REFT-style ecommerce shippers. I attached an example So we have full coverage ink on the outside, and clients want to tape the front flap for shipping. They've been having issues getting it to stick.
  15. Tape that sticks to UV ink?

Hey guys, we're making some corrugated boxes and we can't seem to find a decent tape that'll stick to the areas with UV ink. We've tried all kinds of packing tape, sealing tape, water-activated paper tape that we use for our un-printed shipping boxes, etc. Everything just ends up peeling off...
