  1. Bad dongle

Everyone is like this now. Flexi, CadLink, even Corel is subscription, nothing perpetual anymore.
  2. Bad dongle

SignLab is now dongleless and why they won't sell you a new dongle. I'd say they have you by the cojoñes and you should just upgrade.
  3. Magnetic Signs Stuck to Truck

I tell people all the time the magnet cannot stay on more than 2 weeks before needing to be washed. The Joint Base here leaves them on for years and just like RiXaX, I gotta peel them off with heat. Took paint off with a few, but they were warned. I wound up putting the same graphic in its...
  4. Orajet 3651Intermediate Calendared - Ok W/Rapid Tac

Same thing here...the more in-land, the longer it will last. We're about 5 air miles to the Atlantic and barrier island. The closer to the ocean, the faster the vinyl dries out and browns.
  5. Orajet 3651Intermediate Calendared - Ok W/Rapid Tac

I worked with a company that printed a lot for backlit signage. Their shoe-in was 3651G Transparent with 210G overlaminate. This combo works great, but you have to "doublestrike" or lay a thick amount of ink down (so the reds don't look pink when the sign is lit, for example. Only problem, any...
  6. Orajet 3651Intermediate Calendared - Ok W/Rapid Tac

Use RapidTac lightly. Test it with a smaller piece on the surface you'll be applying to. If it gets too wet, it's best to make sure all bubbles are out and either let dry time or use a heat gun to speed the adhesion process. You using 210 or 290 as overlaminate?
  7. Mutoh XpertJet printing grays with a green tint

Everyone I know that has bought this printer has said that the profiles that come from Mutoh are crap. You will have to create your profiles for this printer. Also, did you attempt to create a CMYK black in Flexi, convert it to a spot color, then lessen the percentages to get your spectrum of...
  8. Font ID Help

Thank you!!! I knew I've used it before, but was like 17 years ago. Much appreciated.
  9. Font ID Help

Reaching out here as, of course, I have a crappy pic from a customer of something they want me to emulate. A few font ID apps couldn't take the script apart. Anyone have a clue?
  10. Issue with ValueCut VC-600

I suggest Mutoh FTP and grabbing the latest firmware and File Uploader app.
  11. Issue with ValueCut VC-600

Upgraded your firmware? What program you using to cut, Flexi?
  12. Issue with ValueCut VC-600

Ok, but is it happening to the same fonts that were converted? Also, when you convert them and save, do you bring up the file to see if that line is there? I had this problem when creating contour lines. I dissect the file I've created until I find out what is creating the cut line I didn't create.
  13. Issue with ValueCut VC-600

Does it usually with the same font(s) when cutting?
  14. What do you say to a customer that complains about every little imperfection in a commercial van wrap?

The lifting in the channels is going to happen no matter what you do. It's a Sprinter with an EXTREMELY deep recess. I usually tell the customer that I am going to make a relief cut for the recess because no matter what, it's going to come up. Vinyl is flexible, but it has a memory. The recess...
