  1. Printing solid colors on Mimaki CJV 150-160

Hi guys. dudeinthemoon yes, no improvement. Solventinkjet I remembered that I already printed years ago the same color combination on Avery vinyl. I searched for the ripped file and used the same settings... it worked. Print with Mimaki GenericPVC profile (max res, 12 pass, MFD1...
  2. Printing solid colors on Mimaki CJV 150-160

Hi guys, it's been a while! I'm back here asking for some help with flat colors. I have to print a yellow box (#ffe600) on top of which there is a black logo with black text (#00000). This is the file that was provided to me (pdf) Now, if i print with my usual media profile, yellow came up a...
  3. Problem with R10 lamination

Hi! I have a problem with a lamination that I purchased on August 24 and have already used for three jobs (Avery DOL 6000FR, R10). The lamination is contaminated internally with some sort of brown debris! Have you ever run into this defect? Unfortunately they appear suddenly and at random...

I found the culprit... for now! But for today I call it quit and go home victorious. Yeah, never underestimate pinch rollers! Thank you for your replies :)

Yup. I always printed with that check off. I started checking it hoping for better accuracy. Anyway... a little update. After 2 days of tests, I found a solution in changing the pressure of pinch rollers from Light to Medium. That 1mm discrepancy is gone. So it was "JUST" a media slipping...

The real problem here is that my plotter prints up to 2 mm shorter OR 5 mm larger (always in the Y axis) whichever file the RIP software (rasterlink6) send to it. It can be small labels (outer box was printed 1 mm shorter BUT every label indise it kept the correct size) to 100 cm x 80 cm print...
  7. media comp grey lines not straight?

Today my client encountered (again!) a problem of misalignment of the cuts for screw holes. I sincerely don't know what to do. Every week I make prints for 4 type of electric scooter boards: xiaomi PRO, xiaomi STANDARD, G30 MAX and G30 LE. Xiaomi PRO prints and cuts are ALWAYS perfect wether I...

Uhm, I did not calibrate anything on plotter side. Just moved cut path for screw holes 1mm here and there. Anyway... yesterday I printed on blueback paper. Did a media comp. test and the grey lines were 0,1mm apart with VALUE:0, so I set it to -10. Also, banding disappeared. W-i-t-c-h-c-r-a-f-t.

With manual correction, now cut holes do match.
  10. media comp grey lines not straight?

I don't f... believe it. Now my 23 cm x 63 cm prints are actually 23 cm x 63 cm. Just now that I manually moved cut holes by 1mm to compensate! What I did different? Less heat (45-40-45 instead of 45-45-50), I checked a little box in cut menu that says "keep 100% proportion" and expanded the...

Already did X/Y cut calibration. Still getting the problem. I'm seeing my technician at the end of the month...
  12. media comp grey lines not straight?

Former supplier don't use any laminate. He (poorly) print directly on anti-slip film and deliver the product to his client. My product thanks to the lamination and the high quality print is better, I think... Plotter cuts where I tell him to cut, I made tons of tests with square and circles. The...
  13. media comp grey lines not straight?

Okay, I'm starting to understand the situation... I generally cut console skins from oracal cast vinyl, thick texturized vinyl or prints on cast vinyl which are then laminated with cast laminate, they comes out always perfect, with holes for buttons and screws corresponding precisely. This is...
  14. media comp grey lines not straight?

It's the height. Prints are shorter by the height... I print in two ways depending on which board I have to print. Larger don't fit horizontally, so I flip them and print as you can see in the following attachment. Red line is the shrink of 1mm
  15. media comp grey lines not straight?

This is witchcraft. So I cannot export a pdf with fixed size and expect the printer to print what I want? sigh... Also... I still have a big problem with mismatching cut holes. This is a laminated print (hi tack + R10 lamination) with holes for screws. When applied to plexiglass with soap&water...
