  3. Push through acrylic sign fabricator NYC area

I am a sign reseller. I had a vendor fabricate a push through acrylic sign for us and install it in New York City. Within a month, the finish was peeling. We've since had other failures from this vendor. I'm looking for someone who can remove the current sign, refinish the sign and re-install...
  4. Pole Banner Finishing

My understanding of using sewing over welding on pole banners is that sewing allows the joint to "stretch" and flex in response to stress that pole banners endure. Whereas a welded joint is more rigid and prone to failure. Any further insights are welcome.
  5. Fabric Flag Vendor

Have a client looking to replace 24 flags on their property. It is 30"x48" with a grommeted canvas edge on the left. Not sure of the material, relatively thin and "silky." Looks to be either sublimated or direct printed. Can anyone recommend a knowledgable, reliable vendor for something like this?
  6. Custom Plastic ADA Signs

Does anyone have a direct manufacturer of custom plastic ADA signs? My first choice was Gemini. However, they only do aluminum ADA signs.
  7. Finding the studs in building facade

I have an install on a new building: channel letters on a raceway. I've replaced old signs in the past, and so there were already existing fasteners. Mind you, I didn't use the old fasteners, nor the holes; but I knew where the studs were, steel or otherwise. Being this is new construction...
  8. Using Lexel For Acrylic Letters

Lexel is definitely not a "quick-grab" type product. But once it cures, it's not going anywhere.

  10. Using Lexel For Acrylic Letters

I'm attaching 14" tall, .375" thick, laser-cut acrylic letters to 6MM Alumalite panel for an outdoor install. I've always worked with stud-mount Gemini letters, but you guys talk up this Lexel product so much, I would like to try attaching them to the Alumalite with no studs. Will it really...
  11. Attaching Frame To 10" Steel Beam

I am fabricating the following sign for an outdoor installation. No permits are required. 144" x 18" 14" (.375" thick) Gemini solid acrylic letters attached to 6MM Alumalite/Econolite, attached to an aluminum frame. QUESTION A: How best to attach the completed sign, centered to a horizontal 10"...

  13. Volume print low-tack wall vinyl source

I'm quoting a project for 8MIL low-tack repositionable wall graphic. The size is 18"x24", full color, 5,000 pieces. I have a local source for short-runs and one-offs. Does anyone know a volume producer for this product? Any info is appreciated...
  14. How was this made?

This is a push-through acrylic sign. The face of the "box" is cut (routed, lasered, jetted, etc) to accommodate a cut piece of acrylic, which is then "pushed through". Translucent vinyl is applied to the face of the acrylic shape (in this instance), and it is lit from behind. (You can also use...
  15. Latest edge lit project...

Hey Action--did you ever get around to making that video? Would love to see how you brought this together, especially the Salem Armory Center piece. Thanks!
