  1. Mounting Digital Media, No Lamination

Would apply to anything really, foamcore, coroplast, signboard. I mask the printed media, and mount by hand to the substrate. I was going to try the laminator, but even that showed some imperfections.
  2. Mounting Digital Media, No Lamination

Hey All, Can someone explain to me how they mount unlaminated digital media? Right now I'm using premask on the printed vinyl but it isn't doing the best of job. Should I just laminate the piece and be done with it? If I try to mount without anything the print distorts and stretches. Thanks
  3. PROII Prefeeding 1/4" at a time

No one? This is horribly effecting my production time.
  4. PROII Prefeeding 1/4" at a time

Before my PROII will cut any sort of vinyl it will prefeed the required media 1/4" at a time until it reaches the desired amount. This is highly inefficient and takes forever. The printer is taking longer to prefeed the material then to cut it. Sometimes up to 15 mins of prefeeding...
  5. Painting Dibond

Just applying via roller. The sign will be mounted on the side of a building. I'm more so worried the installers won't be gentle and end up scratching. The colour was to be matched to existing trim so a BM code was given, I guess I could matched with auto single stage but I went this route...
  6. Painting Dibond

Hey All, Quick question. I'm painting dibond and mounting dimensional letters to it. Wondering if the dibond should be cleared?. I've go three coats down already, dibond was scuffed. Just seems to be really delicate and scrathes easy. Used exterior acrylic. Thanks!
  7. I'm officially retireing from doing race car lettering!!!!

Did you really just post that? Gimme a break. So any race car driver can use your tool to design their cars? So, when did they become a designer? Prime example of whats wrong with the industry. If I tried to use some free webapp to design a house and took the plans to a builder he'd laugh in...
  8. Shipping vehicle graphics?

We have a contract to do "large fast food chain" tractor trailers. The wraps come shipped from the US in the box the media originally came in. Rolled up, no core, no black plastic holders on either end. They're usually fine.
  9. Password manager recommendation

Change them all to "incorrect". Then, when you get them wrong, the site will tell you: "Your password is incorrect" Bingo!!
  10. What would you charge?

I meant the poly, the substrate, the piece of material that the trans vinyl is being applied too, which I miss read. Ignore my OP
  11. What would you charge?

Can I ask why trans vinyl is used if the background is opaque?
  12. School Me: 1Shot

No dimensional stuff here. I was simply thinking of staining the wood and then lettering over top of the stain with enamel, 1shot or Ronin. I've been told 1Shot now stinks quite a bit more then they use to after being bought out by Pittsburg Paints. Alot of people are switching to Ronin. I...
  13. School Me: 1Shot

Ladies, Gents, Got a few sign painting projects coming up and I wanted to pick the brains of the mighty old sign painters here on the interwebs. I'm new to traditional sign making as you can see by my few posts, anyway I have some general questions with regards to 1shot and painting. 1)...
