We're potentially replacing our HP L360's with the newer 560's. Has anyone that has upgraded notice an improvement in color stability? We're hoping our long history of color match issues on reprinting adjacent panels may be solved one of these years. HP says this is improved. Is that true?
Anyone got a trick for print/cut on reflective? We have a 160S2T and Onyx12. Tracking is always off. Has a lot of trouble finding registration marks. Our non reflective cuts perfectly.
Be sure to raise your pricing when pre masked films show up. When the install cost is properly adjusted, the net cost of premasked wraps reflects zero savings and less durability. Luckily we see less of this than years ago.
you likely have straight 3M180.
This has neither controltac nor comply. They used to sneak this in at UASG testing for an extra challenge on skip corrugated aluminum (dry app.)
Bad selection for the job. Some printers will never understand the importance of material selection until we all...
We install IJ180cv3 roughly 60 man hours a week and have undoubtedly noticed the exact same aggressive adhesive issue over the last year as well. Unprinted white has the same problem which rules out outgassing. Definitely slows the applications down big time. It started with the 36" rolls and...
we installed this film and had the same situation six months ago. that halo you see is surely moisture. Our solution was heat and re-squeegee- working the moisture out towards the reverse weeded areas. this didn't work 100% while on site but we assumed the residual would come out over time...
Who cares about the volume this guy does. His profit was very low considering that the equipment was paid for and the dad was paying half the rent as a gift. He must be the low price leader in town. Like the popcorn lady- that Profit episode will likely harm his business.
I always ask for specifics on materials and laminates being supplied before quoting anything. If they play dumb, just say you need to assume absolute worst case scenario pricing. Unless it truly is garbage they'll usually fork over the information at that point.
We have a decent size concrete block lettering project where painted lettering is required. Anyone suggest a quality plotter cut mask that will conform to cinder blocks well and not bleed out? The other issue: These blocks are small, like 8" square with deep, square, mortar returns. Looks like...
Once you grow a bit more you'll need these resources for at least remote areas. Lets be mature and not inaccurately trash folks that are looking to offer better tools for our industry. You're welcome on advance.
