  1. Assistance printing on Styrene

Ooof. I have alot of experience with head strikes and Styrene on the R2000. I feel your pain. We used a 10 pass, 70% ink density profile with the lowest possible curing and drying temps, Heat Sensitive Substrate turned on, and a 750ms interpass delay (i think). Don't be afraid to drop that ink...
  2. HP Latex 800W

We sold our R2000 8 months ago after switching to a DigiTech. It was a good machine, but we had an early model that was plagued with issues. I think we were down for at least three to 5 days every 6 months or so for service calls. Ink tubes busting, scan-axis motors going out, PCA board...
  3. Advice on buying a UV Flatbed printer

Once you go linear drive, you'll never go back to a belt driven machine again. We went from an Arizona 550GT, then to an R2000, THEN to a Digitech TruFire and haven't looked back (for the most part). Keep in mind that Vanguard cheapens out their drive system, they use one array of magnets that...

  5. Sales...One Man Shop... How???

That's what I'm worried about. Getting so busy that the quality of work goes down for the sake of making a buck. I understand you gotta do what you gotta do, but from a designers perspective, I don't want to sell myself or a customer short.
  6. Sales...One Man Shop... How???

I was hired as designer, print shop production manager, and sales (once demand slowed down for our little one-off projects). Lots of hats to wear for someone that just graduated college. Oh, and did I mention I can only put in 40 hours a week?
  7. Sales...One Man Shop... How???

Hello all! I'm fairly new to the sign/graphics business, but I got hired a while back to make decals for a manufacturing company that makes their own decals for their trailers. I've got some questions on getting my products out there in the public. Ever since I got hired here, my boss and...
  8. Old VS New - Need Critiques!!!

I laugh every time I see it. Thank God I never designed that!
  9. Old VS New - Need Critiques!!!

Yeezus! That looks great! I never even thought of trying to pull anything like that off.
  10. Old VS New - Need Critiques!!!

Unfortunately, I do not at the moment. I'll probably work on it some this weekend.
  11. Old VS New - Need Critiques!!!

Tough love is the best kind of love! Not everyone can love it, nor do I want them to. Logo design can be a bear, especially when new concepts are introduced. At least the new one doesn't call for a mullet!
  12. Old VS New - Need Critiques!!!

You hit the nail on the head!
  13. Old VS New - Need Critiques!!!

I thought the same thing. One does not create a good image on their own by copying another, or by throwing random tachometers in the middle of a logo.
  14. Old VS New - Need Critiques!!!

Hello everybody! I know this is my first post, but I would like everyone here to critique my logo for the graphics company that I manage. The only person that has resisted using this logo is the person in charge, who still would rather have the old logo :banghead:. Let me know what you think!
