I wasn't sure how much to lower it so I went from 42 C to 35 and so far its good. I still have the print head on high but since it hasn't buckled at all I'm going to try it on mid. My only concern is that 35 too low and will create other issues.
I'll check the rip here in a second. I actually got a good print by raising the print head to high from mid. Material is still buckling but the head is not striking
Hello,
I have a mutoh 1641sr printer and am attempting to print on a new material. Its the black label window perf from fellers. I noticed that the material is lifting up from the liner while its printing an I had to stop it because of a head strike. I already raised up the print head to mid...
Hey guys,
I just replaced my first print head on my 1641SR which I purchased in 2020. I wasn't expecting to have to replace it for another year or two but besides keeping it printing is there a recommended amount of times I should soak it in cleaning solution?
Hello I am about to replace a print head but I wanted to test the fuses before I do and pull them out. Does anyone have a diagram I can provide my tech guy so we can know what fuses go where. He is familiar with rolans printers but hasn't worked on mutohs before
I had someone come in a check the fuses and all my fuses are good. Tomorrow we're putting a new ribbon cable, I'm thinking I might have damaged the ones that are in there some how. Is there a way to check and see if the print head is bad? I saw on another post for an HP that you can enter the...
I had similar issues that have taken me down a rabbit hole. It started out with the black looking green then I couldn't match greys. Now I'm about to replace ribbon cables and fuses after attempting to replace the dampers, cap top. I hope you have better luck
I have a different printer but it has the exact same print head. When you say the cables were to blame are you talking about the ribbon cables? I'm about to order a new set of ribbon cables and a couple fuses. I'll know pretty soon if that is the issue on mine. Sorry you're struggling with this...
Hello, I'm having some issues with my 1641Sr printer. I'm not getting an error code but there is nothing coming out of the print head. I checked the ribbon cables and they are good but was thinking about checking the fuses. Do you have a pic of where the head fuse is located?
Yeah, I'm just hoping I didn't blow fuse or short out the print head. I made sure to unplug the power but when I didn't notice any ink coming out I immediately starting thinkin it might be the ribbon cable and since I removed them to replace the dampers it seemed like checking that is a good...
This has been an ongoing issue that has lead me to replace the cap top and the dampers but this morning I was doing nozzle checks and test prints. The Cyan & Yellow were looking good but black and magenta were not. Instead of doing another head clean because I had already done several including...
