You have created a corrupt file, easy to do if you use a bad font, made something to big or told corel to do something else that consumed all your ram. Import into a new file and save then delete your old file.
Now I use robertson or better (like hex head or torx) as a seasoned installer I've learned that whatever goes up must come down. Many times I have been the one removing or servicing old signs with rusty and corroded fasteners or stripped phillips heads.

Thank you for the clarification, any problems I had with Rapid Tac 2, was in hot weather. Rapid Remover is great I just don't love it as much after years of breathing in the fumes.
