So we've all had problems with perf. I've been in business for almost 13 years and NEVER had an easy road with it. You can't get away without laminating it for an permanent projects and therein lies the problem.
We have most recently (few years) been laminating the edges down (lam strips) but...
10 Years in the business and I STILL don't really know what to do about this. We get these vehicles in from time to time that have horrible oxidation and we tell customers that they need to find a body shop or we're able to make it work by really cleaning them really well when it's not that bad...
So I recently sold my JV150 and I put in all the solvent wash cartridges (aftermarket and compatible) and I hit Custody Wash and it won't allow me to select the wash. I can do display wash and everything else but not Custody Wash. It's not greyed out or anything, it just won't allow it.
I'm...
We have a Mimaki JV-150-130 Eco Solvent Printer for sale. This machine has very low hours and we have owned it since new (2015 machine). Everything is in 100% working condition with zero issues. We are a 3M Certified and Endorsed company and our equipment is always well cared for. This machine's...
So....after 10 years in business we're buying our own building. We're in city limits and don't have quite enough space that we'd like but we're still happy. We're going to build lots of custom storage but would like ideas from people for storage of print media, laminate, and cut vinyl. Also...
sorry for the old bump but I think these racks look pretty good - we have TONS of rolls everywhere and we're moving and could use better organization. Do you have any more photos of them/ maybe the feet?
I agree with everyone else - I'm sure this job is done already but the 751 isn't much more than the 651 anyway. If you can't make money on the 751 with that many decals and you're a small shop you're going to be in trouble soon.
We have used it before. It come very messy on the roll and is a bit of a PIA to print on. We've actually done 600 linear feet of it. It was okay but once an edge peel you're screwed and its too thick to heat and/or re seal
I posted this in vehicle wraps because I know most of you folks have experience with textured surfaces on SOME level. We have done plenty of brick walls but never anything this big. Here are some of the details.
outdoor application
only needs to last 1 year
we are doing the removal (so it...
How long have you had it for? What RIP are you using? Can you compare it to your latex machines? How does 30' of solid black do on it when you laminate?
I just want to bump this thread if I can. We are in the same EXACT boat as the OP here. We have the JV33 - have been burn by the CC issues with HP in the past and have a JV33. I'm leaning towards Mimaki bc we know the machine and it's never let us down but the S60600's with faster curing inks...
I completely agree with Robert. The only thing though, is that the latex machines didn't really explode IMO until 3-5 years ago so they haven't been around long enough to stand that test of time. I've been in the business 10 years and I've had 1 latex for 3 years and a solvent for 10. Both...
It's probably what I'm going to do. I have a friend though who has a shop and has a few mutoh's and says they don't smell. My mimaki does smell. NOW I'm hearing about these epson printers and how they cure in 3 hours.
If you understand that most people out there are having these issues....how can you be so big on latex? I don't get it.
Anyway, I like your sales pitch. The numbers I'm getting for the JV150-160 @ 12,500
Also, the extra 1500 you're charging is any companies standard training price.
