I was wondering what template software you guys thought was best.
Is there a software that shows the square footage for you? I know the Car 'n Truck Pro Vehicle Outline shows the dimension but you have to calculate the square footage yourself...
I have a template but I don't believe it. Can anyone with this template verify the following measurements for me:
Length 176.77 inches
Width 66.14 inches
Height 68.7 inches
I'm trying to ball park a quote without measuring the vehicle, letting the customer know I can give him a better quote...
I have the 540MT. So far there is not much demand for silver. You have to push it, find places to sell it. Racing graphics and wraps are an opportunity I'm trying to take advantage of.
As far as durability....the metallic on stickers seems to do very well. Haven't had a problem with...
Hi Guys,
A local mom has asked me to create a tribute to her fallen son. I'm going to do a perforated vinyl for the back window of her mustang.
She wanted the emblem on the mural. Does anyone know where I can get this emblem, or is it trademarked?
Here is an example of what it looks...
I personally like the Oracal and hate the Avery premium vinyl and will not buy it again.
I'd buy what you like. If you are more comfortable working, you are having more fun and producing a better product. Go with what YOU like.
Just my $0.02
We have been using the Oshee ones. They are solid felt and last a while.
Looked at H&H and I didn't see them there.
I know Fellers carries them

A client has asked me to create a logo for him. Since he will be doing gaming and computer repair he wanted to have an Xbox and perhaps a PS3 in the logo.
So, I'm pretty sure I can't have the famous Microsoft X in the logo, but what about a generic Xbox? And a generic PS3?
Thanks!
To answer a few questions:
There is no flushing necessary because of the recirculating of the ink. There is still waste, 1.5ml every 12 hours due to self cleaning and 6ml when firing up the metallic. So print all your metallic at once or very close together.
As far as restitution they...
I am very HAPPY to provide an update to the problem (and at the same time feel a little stupid).
It was so simple its kinda scary. The Roland rep came out and wanted to start from scratch. So he set the machine back to the settings it was shipped with.
This turned on full width printing...
Actually we are getting both Jack. I guess I've been bundling them up.
As far as being a media feed issue, we've had it happen doing it ourselves, and the tech doing it. But when the official "roland" tech comes I'll bring it up. Thanks for the tip!
I'd like to ask the fellow XC and VP owners this question:
When doing a print with blocks a any solid color, do you see banding (i.e. thicker coats of the color that are visible)? Is this normal? Is this salable material?
My opinion has been its not acceptable and not salable. What are your...
I've kept this posted to my review of the MT540 for a while. But I'm posting here for those that don't read the reviews.
I received this printer on 12/23/09. It printed flawlessly out of the crate. We had a professional installation done and some training. My designer learned some new tricks...
I've posted a review of the 540MT after the first 30 days...well almost 30 days.
As far as lams we haven't played with a bunch of them. But once the new pallet of 500 colors is released I will be printing the swatches and I'll try a couple of different lams.
I'd still like to hear what alternatives are being used in place of MDO.
I too used MDO, primed and laid the vinyl right down on it. So far so good. I'm not too concerned it won't last 3-5 years, even in the weather here in Chi town.
