Our rastek has been our $100k material shelf for years now. It was a nightmare out of the gate, and is the biggest peice of crap. We finally bougt a Oce Arizona and have since paid for the old rastek and the new oce in a matter of months.
actually HP was very supportive an they had me talking with a Wasatch guru, but in the end what i got was "its because your RIP needs to be upgraded to the latest version for $3k" which is horses#&$t because i ran the machine for a year with no issues.
All in all, i think something corrupted in...
Ok, so HP has been absolutely no help. BUT...I think I have fixed it. Here is what I did to get her back up and running...
1) on the printer go to the menu for MAINTENANCE -> FILE SYSTEM CHECK...this will repair disk errors on the internal hard-drive.
2) on your PC/RIP find your configurations...
I have a year-old-ish 26500 and a old Wasatch RIP. It has been a beast of a production machine...absolutely love it. Now it is saying "ERROR: The media type in the current imaging config no longer exists on the printer. Please select a new media type in the printer's configuration page."
II am...
Im using an old computer and Wasatch to run both a 25500 and a 26500. works ok but wish I had onyx for them. Profiles are kind of experimental. I use the "stock built-in" as a base and tweek from there.
Same thing here...ours sounded like an old man hawking up a snot....turned out to be lack of lube on the 2 rails, a worn out belt (teeth getting smaller) and a weakening belt tensioner. the sound was the motor spinning and jumping "gears" on the belt. replace your belt and the tensioner springs...
heres what my manual says....
SE Code: 63:05 - The raster data does not arrive quick enough
Problem Description:
The raster data of the job is not arriving quick enough to assure correct printing conditions.

• Check that a 1 Gigabit Ethernet Card is being used, make sure it...

i just finished one last week. Vinyls with air release are tricky because they alow water to enter. Best suggestion I can give you is seal the vinyl with 3M edge sealer and use the 1/4" edge sealing tape.
Hello everyone. I have exhausted all the threads, searched the forums as well as google, but coming up empty handed. I have a sickly printer that needs some attention. I am looking for the SERVICE manual (not the USER manual) for the XJ640.
I was also wondering the button sequence to enter...
thats a cool idea. do they even have polaroids anymore :) i was hoping there was a marker or pen or chemical to test with.....hmmmm maybe i should come up with that?
So we have a ton of drop left over from panels we have cut. Problem is they were not properly marked when they were cut and now they have nothing to distinguish the UV side. Anyone have a tip/trick to figure this out? Thanks in advance!
