Hmmmm, I hadn't considered that. My printer is in my basement, though it is clean(ok maybe not) it can get humid in summer months. I'm having trouble with some 3M Ij180CV3 mostly and it has got some age to it, bought in 2012. I put in some new Oracal 3951 and it printed great. The ink goes on...
Hard to explain but during print some colors will slightly change and some mild banding also. It doesn't happen everytime but enough to waste a lot of time, ink and vinyl. Thought it may be a printhead going bad but I've changed them all. No codes on the printer. Any ideas?
Lately I've been having some issues with my print not drying in one area the length of the print. It's like a cold spot about 6" wide in the curing element. I checked it with my temp gun and the area was temping 160 deg and the rest 220 as I had set in the profile. It isn't giving any codes on...
My 1 year warranty was up Nov 4, I didn't renew. I'm on my 3rd set of inks so not much time on my printer and $2,500 for a year is too much for my small shop. I think it's worth the price if you run it nonstop but for me it's not. The last year mine has been extremely reliable and if there was a...
I tried a window perf called Contravision sold by Advantage. The reason I used this perf is because it was reasonably priced between 3M and Clear Focus but more important it gives a 3 year durability. My heat was 52 and 99, I think 95 would be fine. 16 pass and Uni direction. It printed great...
OK, well anywho...I purchased some window perf. Right now I'm not going to say what it is and I'll see how it does. Next week I'll post a profile that works (hopefully) and I'll either praise it or throw it under the bus, we'll see.
Did a search but didn't get much info. I'm thinking of using 3M IJ65 50/50 for a store window with 3M 8518 lam. Anyone used IJ65 or what else works good with the Latex? Got some #'s for Clear Focus brand, 40c and 90c. I guess perf can't take much heat.
My year is up Nov 1st and I'm considering the extended warranty. Right now I'm leaning against it. $2,700 for 1 year is pricey. Curious about what other L25500 users think and if they purchased or not.
I've been away over 4 1/2 months. During that time nothing has been printed. At about 2 months I had someone turn it on and let it run through its start up procedure then turn it back off, nothing printed. Just got home and did some test prints last night and everything seems ok. I wanted to...
I have this problem also, but only with banner material. Your description is better than mine (search my posts). No tech has been able to fix the problem. There is no need for the printer to pull the material back in then spit it out so fast. The only thing i do is be ready at the end of the...
I think the L25500 is an excellent printer to buy used because it's so easy and inexpensive to change the print heads. I bought mine new last Sept and it has done well for me, but I think saving alot of cash and buying a used machine is a good way to go with the HP also.
I use Key and Ultraflex 13oz. They both print great but both EVERYTIME at the end of the print have a head strike. What happens is when the print is finished the banner is pulled back into the printer a few inches the it quickly feeds it out about 3 inches this buckles the banner material then...
Honestly, with all the juice the L25500's heaters are pulling what's the difference. But I'll guess that you can turn the lights off, though I wouldn't leave mine unattended for long.
Lower your drying temp a little. Excessive heat is buckling the vinyl just enough for the head to touch it. Increasing the vacuum as you did helps too. Tension is between the pinch roller and roll of media, your problem occurs after that so I don't think it has much affect for this situation.
