Planning to test wrapping city buses with reflective prints.
How does 680cr compare to 180 for both installation and removal.
It is the removal that I am concerned about.....shall never ever forget the pains of removing standard reflective off police cars.
What would be some common reasons for window perf to be printed shorter than the vinyl its supposed to match?
I wrap city buses full time. We switched print suppliers. New printer is having difficulty printing IJ180 and perf to be identical sizes. The window perf is consistently shorter in...
Currently using 3M IJ180. Been using 180 for several years. Looking for options that install with the same ease, but easier to remove.
MUST be 3M.
MUST handle hundreds of rivets.
MUST withstand snow salt degreasers, etc, thats mostly lam dependent thought.
Tried a 3500 product but...
2000lbs of styrene king and tail ads in the landfill every 6 months. Some scavenged and used for shop/diy projects. Way to dirty to be printed on backside, as tried many times.
Cannot find any recyclers who will take the stuff around here. Not even the used tire melter/shredder guys.

Sorry re-read original post. Not sure how Hexis will react.....cant imagine it being different.
-10c pfsssh that nuthin, I actually installed one of my buses in -5c and its still solid 2 years later. Just have to watch the snapping / repositioning.
We do it all the time here in Sask Canada. 3M IJ180. Picked up morning after wrap competion.......even during 2 months of -35 celsius temps. We got 5 months of 0 to -30 celsius temps.
Never had anything fail.
Once installed good, shouldn't matter how hot or cold it is.
I've always wrapped over emblems, most customers I talk to dont want stuff taken off the vehicle. If emblems are done good its no different than a door handle, mirror or whatever.
Kind of like learning how to draw and sketch. Practice, study, practice, study....100's of doodles later ya eventually realize your getting rather good. Designing signs and artwork is no different.
I cannot wrap the driver side window, the window behind the driver. Cannot wrap the passenger door windows or the one front side window on the door side.
Doors are for passenger safety and the front side windows are so elderly can see stops better and the drivers can see people at the stops...
Grey area of vehicle laws, rare question for the vehicle regulations people indeed lol.
I did agree that it would be cool to fully wrap the inside of a bus. Still common sense tells me don't do the windows. Test piece showed near block out windows depending on light.
Imagine the public...
After trolling for many years, why not introduce eh.
