That is a good idea. This is just supposed to be a reface on an existing cabinet that has a single piece of poly in it now. Is there a flex face conversion kit somewhere? I have only installed a new flex face on an existing cabinet before, never done a conversion.
I'm just wondering what your techniques are for sliding in large poly faces while up in the bucket. I have a couple 15ft x 5ft panels on a pole cabinet and a 22ft x 6ft panel I need to replace. I sold my bucket truck a couple of years back and am now using a 35ft towable boom with a 1.5 person...
We've run iMac's for everything but our RIP since 2011. Its the way I like to work. They just last longer for us. Right now im running a used 2017 27inch with upgraded ram and it still hauls.
Update: Replaced the printhead the non-oem version from SolventInkjet. Added the memory board from the old head. Works perfectly. The machine printer has been running everyday now. Back to making money.
Thank you everyone for all of the troubleshooting suggestions. Greatly appreciated!
I tested the coms on the slider board per the manual instructions. A few tested below 7 ohms which according to the service manual indicates a bad head. So I ordered a new printhead. Crossing my fingers.
I ran some files with heavy reds and got a ton of magenta overspray in the red/white edge areas. Now I am starting to think the head might be toast.
I tried the damper swap and that channel does not fire.
We've been using Oshlun SBNF-080060 8-Inch 60 Tooth blades in my panel saw for years. Work great but must be dedicated to acrylic and aluminum. if it touches wood its done.
Update: I replaced the captop and still have made no progress. I removed and inspected ribbon cables on the head and where they connect on the board. I ran a cleaning and watched the head shoot ink with a flashlight, all shoot but that magenta on the right side. I have run ink fills and watched...
Thank you Neil and Solventinkjet. I was suspicious of the captop. I ordered a new one Friday and am waiting for delivery. I will replace that part and see where it gets me. The waste line is clear, solvent drops right through it when I fill the captop. The damper swap gave me the same results...
Hi all.
I have a Mimaki CJV150-160. Its been an incredible machine for us for the past 4 years. Meticulously maintained, loved, and never ran hard. It worked perfectly until I moved it. I had the machine in a climate controlled room inside my shop in Southern California. I moved the machine as...
We Have run Bordeaux since 2011 with good results other than black overspray. Tried OEM again and then gave STS a shot on our Roland with DX4’s hoping for no overspray. StS had same overspray issue. Other than that STS ink worked fine with a little extra maintenance but we went back to Bordeaux...
Judging from the vid it looks like someone has monster equipement lease payments to make. o_O I hope they invested in there sales staff and training too. Might not last.
They are clearly a screen printing/garment shop trying to offer additional services to clients. It's a trend i've noticed...
Time for a new laminator in the shop. Looking to go above 60in to better work with our 64in printer. We currently have a Royal Sovereign 55in that has served us well for the past 6 years. Only problem i've had with the RS is that it is a laminator at an entry level price that requires expert...
