We installed Samsung LED modules in several channel letter signs last year. Now, suddenly, many of them are failing with no apparent cause. The supplier who sold them to us has gone out of business, and we are having zero luck getting through to the right department at Samsung. Does anyone...
We are acquiring an HP 570 latex printer in addition to our Roland 640. VersaWorks does not support HP. What RIP do you suggest to run both, or at least the 570?
ETA: Looking at Onyx. Caldera is Mac-only.
GM!
We have a couple of Miller welders, but when we do small reverse channel letters ( 3"-7") are forced to outside weld as the welder tips are too big to fit between the narrow returns.
Does anyone use a smaller MIG set up? I know there used to be a company that did a small spool gun with a 9"...
we are making larger (96"x48") acrylic panels 1/2" deep with translucent vinyl graphics, and would like to contour some shapes with a V bit and edge illuminate it. Any suggestions on best practices? How deep, type of LEDS? Any suggestions how to make the lit edges pop as much as possible.

Happy Thanksgiving!
We are machining 6mm diebond with a 6'x10' vacuum CNC.
The parts are large and ornate, machining time is about 45 mins per part, 70 total.
The problem is that the plastic burrs stick to the profile after machining and need to removed manually; it take about 30 min to clean...

As standard practice, when manufacturing a reverse channel letter we grind the welds a well as the rest of the letter face. Then da, twice. Then clean well the letter to remove the wax.
It is hours of labor per each sign we manufacture.
I am wishing for a system like a time saver, or a simple...
I have a cut alignment problem on my VS640. I have laminated a print, reloaded it into the printed, done a auto detect on the crop marks but point 3 is not where the optical head ends up scanning.
I made the mistake of printing a file too long. The prints are 180".
I tried a manual crop mark...
Hello,
We have built a face lit sign that is 4" deep. It has a .7" polycarbonate face with full color print on white translucent vinyl and 3M Day/Night vinyl.
The LEDs show through quite clearly as "hot spots".
An application of diffusing vinyl did not solve the problem.
What other alternatives...
