I don't work on neon.. so I get that out of the way quick. Neon is a different animal and I can see getting in a rabbit hole for that.
If it's LED, you can nail those problems down usually quick. If the whole sign is off... I tell them it's a $375 or whatever for my service call. I'll work...
I set expectations up front. I tell them this is artwork applied by hand and it's going to have small, unnoticeable imperfections when viewed in its entirety.

disagree all you want but your head in buried in the sand. I've dealt with it on Amazon... this video came out last week detailing how pervasive the counterfeits are and amazon does nothing.
It's all the time on Amazon. Counterfeit can be very hard to distinguish. I bought DeWalt batteries shipped and sold by amazon and they were counterfeit. The level of detail they copied was surprising and most people wouldn't be able to tell.
I thought things made by NOAA was public domain.
Once you create something, you automatically get copyright. You can register it with copyright office and get a registration number, which gives you a better standing to sue.
