50 ft x 250 ft high school field house. The main copy over the awning was 6 ft letters. It took a while but is a sight to behold...plus I get to add new championship wins as they happen in each sport. I got to use my daughters on this and another wall project on campus, one is a Senior there...
Welcome in! Good to see you took the leap! If your gonna have to deal with the headaches, you may as well have your name on the door for the applause.
I've only been in the business since 1986 (probably not as long as some here) but i just turned 49 this year. I've went from brush, smalts, and...
I have lots of pics of work and progress but the only video i have is of a large mural I airbrushed in college that I remember. There may be some more, i'd have to watch them. I do have some projects coming up where i may be able to take videos of some things. I still do production old school...
Its nice to see someone actually wanting to learn wall dogging! Its surprising the amount of work I've been asked to do like this the past year, but It all comes in cycles as we've all learned. There's nothing like the permanance of lettering on the building, but the concrete formed brick is...

I need to change all the cap tops and planned to replace the ink lines (since i have an ink drop anyway). I have new bulk ink cartridges to put in also. Any tips would be helpful too.
I may need a new printhead or 2 unless someone can tell me how i should soak these.
This is an SJ540 that was converted from a dye sub machine to solvent. Never had eco solvent inks in it. At least it seems the ink changeover is going to be relatively simple.
Switching over my Roland Sol Jet 2 from solvent to Eco solvent. ( or is it possible and even worth considering to go Latex with the dx4 printhead )
Do the Roland brands really help your print heads last longer?
Which brands should I strongly consider & which ones should I definitely steer...
That's what sleeves and rubber gloves are for! I'm taking off paint that's been on Windows for 10 years with oven cleaner and a razor blade scraper! Put a tank top on and head over, I have some welding to do!
...that's a big assumption. EVER??! I figured this forum was about sharing resources, and I have shared some myself. Ive looked where i know of online. If you had other resources to help I'd hope you would share them, but Since you apparently don't have what I need then the thread can now be...
If you decide to go ahead and letter it you can use vinyl as a stencil. There are some good ideas about how to seal the edges. I normally just draw around it and letter from there . I have done quite a few of these and I have always used cover stain for the first coat. It's great for a primer...
