3M 7725-114 same as Gerber 225 Clear ER?

My sales rep at one of the suppliers I use is telling me that the 3M 7725-114 is in fact enamel receptive and is the same product as the Gerber 225-114 clear enamel receptive. There is a significant cost difference so if I can make the change to the 3M I would like to, but when I contacted 3M to double check their representative told me that the 7725-114 is not enamel receptive! To make things even more interesting the 3M product bulletin for 7725 that the sales rep sent me lists the 114 as "Clear Enamel Receptive". Does anyone have any insight on this?

both product bulletins say thermal printable, only 225 actually says enamel receptive
