Need Help Canon OCE Arizona1260XT Printhead

We've had our 1260 for some time and it is only used for a few specialty jobs. I just had a printhead go out on it (head-strike). I was wondering if anyone has gone the route of NON Cannon/OCE parts. I'm looking at trying out a different printhead and would like some feedback if some of you are doing it.
