extended warrantee

my 2 year warantee is about to expire on my valuejet 54" printer...they want to sell me a new one for one yr and charge me $2500.00...

any thoughts on this would be welcomed...thats a lot of bones to come up with...ps...printer is (knock on formika and wood) printing fine right now...its 2 yrs old and i take reasonable good care of it...
