Kerning in Omega

I recall a visual kerning tool in Omega (2.6) and can't for the life of me find it anymore.

It allowed you to grab a handle and expand or contract the distance between characters so you could visually set the character spacing. Going through the text edit dialogue box is a poor solution because you can only type number and then return to see the effect; rinse and repeat, and repeat, and repeat, etc.

Does anyone know how to access this visually character spacing tool?

in 1.56 it looks like T<->T (button active when text is selected)

I don"t know if i did that right but that's what text looked like after i finished typing in all my words.

That was the only way to enter type in a IVB. Those were the days.
