The artist/designer we have has been workin with us for bout 3 years.....Things haven't "progressed" artistically all that much during these 3 years... He only seems to step things up when and get motivated when someone else out does his work........Im hoping I can get some feedback and advice on few things I put together ...THANK YOU....

can we see what he designed?

All of them have that ugly "90s designed by a sign shop" style. Maybe that style will get a revival one day, but thankfully not today.

You have to understand Imperial County....

A lot of people think of California as Hollywood, Disneyland and concrete jungle...

Then there is where I live... cow, ducks, orange trees and watermelon outnumber
people, and Imperial County... 27% unemployment, one of the worst places in the
nation to get a job.

All the good designers have probably been taken, and 90's graphics never happened
till now... there are a few shops there with X on graphics. This about as good as it gets
there... I can imagine a shop with better skills would be doing a lot better than the
average shop.

Learn graphic design. If you can afford it, buy books like the "Logolounge" Series,
"Design: Logo" and if you can only afford one book, then you have to buy:
Dan Antonelli's "Building a Big Small Business Brand"

Then the web:

Marlene it's on post 15

sorry I missed that was from him. time for a new designer as this guy's work doesn't look like it came from one. is all his work like this? if so, he is not doing much for your business as your ideas were as good as his and you came right out and said that you are not a designer. hate to put him down but the work is amateurish at best
