Hello,

I know there are many posts out regarding vinyls, however, I could not find this one...

What would you prefer to stock in house from ORACAL...

3164
3621
3640
3641
3165RA
3651

Also a little comparison... (which ones you like and why?)

3165RA vs 3651

3164 vs 3640 vs 3641

Thanks a ton for the help!

Well, in my opinion you can't go wrong with Oracal 3651. That being said, it REALLY depends on what you are going to be using it for. Stocking a bunch of stuff seems silly to me. A good roll of Cast, a good roll of calendered and some matching lam is all we keep in stock for our shop use. We keep at least one roll of everything we offer in stock as well.

I would suggest getting in a sample roll of each and try them out with the same graphics and matching profiles and see what YOU like best. I would advise that on any brand/manufacturer. Try it and see how it reacts with YOUR printer and needs…. then YOU make an educated decision and start stocking whatever YOU want.

Since the Avery fallout a few years back (and some problems we had with neschen RTA vinyl), we have become an Oracal house. I've been very pleased with Oracal products across the board.

3651M is our standard cal product

210G/M/SG standard overlam for cal vinyl or the occasional flatbed print

3620G (clear) with 3640G (white-as an overlam) is used for reverse print
window graphics

3621G for removable stuff

3850 for backlits

3551G/GRA (w290G) for non-wrap vehicle graphics

3951G/GRA (w290G) for wraps

651 and 751 for RTA's

And we're just starting to experiment with 631 and 3621 for wall graphics
