  1. Routing, cutting, laser-ing... oh my!

< $20k for the router is the budget. What brands would you recommend I look at? So far I've looked at websites for AXYZ and Gerber. Both seem great. Probably way more than I "need" now, but look like I could grow into them and never look back. Any other suggestions/tips?
  2. Routing, cutting, laser-ing... oh my!

Hi everyone, I'm in research mode trying to come up with a "next step" growth plan... The unbelievable actually happened. -The owner gave me a blank sheet of paper and asked what kind of machinery would help our Large Format department go to the next level. I was floored. So just for context...
  3. Avery Supercast shelf life???

    Thanks! Good ideas.
  4. Avery Supercast shelf life???

Thanks Pat. At least I'm not the only one to sit on vinyl too long. -A very expensive lesson.
  5. Avery Supercast shelf life???

I know lots of people hate anything Avery, but to be honest, I've liked everything I've used it for so far... BUT I have 3/4 of a roll of Supercast (MPI 1005 SC Ez Rs) that is pretty much unuseable. It was made on 1-22-13 so almost exactly 2 years ago. I've noticed the print quality slowly...
  8. Printing Black on a Roland SC545

Hi Castek, thanks for the reply. Yes, I'm referring to printing "black and white-looking" images. 99% of what I receive comes in as RGB, and as far as I know, all is good... other than what photoshop edits the customer may have done, or what website they steal the image from... I get a lot of...
  9. Printing Black on a Roland SC545

Hi everyone, first post. I have an older Roland SC545EX that has been a great machine for us. I know about the reddish/greenish black issue, and have struggled with both at times. I also know that if I'm printing a "black and white" image, I can grayscale it and print using Density Control...
