  1. Mutoh 1624x Media buckling

Tony, I have been running my 1624X for over 6 months now and have the same gremlins. Mine started with Oracal 3951 and would bunch up about 20" in to a run and head strike/rub. Thought it was a bad roll but since then have had several other brands (Avery1105, 3m180, and cheaper Brightline wrap...
  2. Routed woodgrain

I have transitioned away from routing letters while using a texture or wood grain just from the finished look. I have moved to routing the texture over the entire surface, pocketing for the letters, milling letters to fit in pocket so that the texture goes right up to the straight wall. Much...
  3. Clean edges on cnc routed dibond

I know this sounds crazy, on square pieces I coin the edges over by rolling across vinyl holding steel roller set. Makes a beautiful edge that just forms the burr over so that no sharp edges remain. Ok shaped pieces quick sand to knock the burr off is fast.
  4. how can i get my cnc to cut leave less jagged edges when cutting foam?

I have had luck with a super clean edge using a compression bit @ 18krpm, 200ipm, and ø1/4 full cut pass so compression works. Gator foam works great but other foam brands it is pot luck.
  5. Question Roller Table - Roller Material

You get much longer than 51 and the diameter and strength must go way up so that the pressure is as constant as possible across the entire roll. The material is a rubber probably close to 80A durometer. The big expense machines actually shape the roller to be larger in diameter at the center...
  6. Question Roller Table - Roller Material

I am doing the exact same thing and for the roller I purchased one of the cheap Chinese manual rollers off e-bay and disassembled. If you look closely, they are similar if not a complete match to some of the cold laminating machines out there.
  7. How would you attach this HDU sign to a Steel Bracket?

18# HDU versus steel when it comes to thermal expansion is incredible. The 12' dimension will grow ±.223" over the temperature ranges (0-150º F). I never hard mount HDU but pocket the frame inside the HDU in order to allow expansion in the pockets. Slotting the HDU works as well but needs a...

  9. 6mm diebond machining tips

I am assuming you are using forced air at the cut point???? This with an o-flute @ a minimum of 150 in/min seems to cut very clean with minimal clean-up after. (Except of course the statically charged chips that fly everywhere eve with dust collection.
