I am often ask when I started woodworking and I cannot remember. My father was a federal magistrate and a building contractor as myself and my sisters grew up. I'm my father's off time he built and remodeled homes and had a woodworking shop/tool shed in the back yard. I learned to read a tape measure before a book. When I graduated high school in 1991 I immediately began doing trim work but not for my father. He refused to allow me to work for him. Over the next couple years I was allowed to steady improve the shop as my dad began thinking about retirement from being a magistrate and from carpentry. Believe it or not he became a long distance truck driver. He more or less divorced my stepmother and lived on the road. I started building cabinets and furniture full time in a one man shop by 1994. From 1994-2012 I did nothing but woodworking until 12/21/2012 I was in a auto accident that changed my life. I spent 6yrs in rehab hospitals and orthopedic offices.
